Art Stalls, Rum Cocktails

What a fun-filled Saturday at the Melbourne Street Studios Summer Party. Whilst manning a stall for seven hours is definitely a test of endurance I couldn’t have been surrounded by better people. I was there as part of a new Leeds print collective (Hope House Prints) and it was a wonderful day rounded off by some very potent rum-based cocktails from one of the beverage stalls.

The jolly camaraderie between artists, stall keepers and event attenders a like, throughout the day was lovely. It was really great to talk about work and future events in Leeds. There’s nothing better than creative discourse—it makes you feel less like a hermit, holed up in your room, fixated on bringing your vision to life. There are others holed up in their rooms, hunched over a piece of paper too!

My mind is now filled with potential new projects and the list is endless. With the collective in its infancy there is so much scope for progression and producing more exciting work. Watch this space!
